What is the Consumer Corner?
Consumer Corner is BEUC‘s (The European Consumer Organisation) blog. This is where we outline our thoughts on EU policy developments likely to affect consumers’ lives.
The Consumer Corner blog started in 2014 as The consumer view on TTIP, a trade agreement that was being negotiated between the EU and the US. As of 2016, we expanded it to cover all our policy areas.
Who is BEUC?
BEUC is the umbrella group in Brussels for 42 independent consumer organisations from 31 countries. Our main role is to represent them to the EU institutions and defend the interests of European consumers.
We work to ensure the EU takes policy decisions that improve the lives of consumers. This covers a range of topics including competition, consumer rights, digital rights, energy, enforcement, financial services, food, health, safety, mobility, sustainability, and trade policy.
For more info on how we work and what we have achieved so far, head to our main website. You can also follow us on BlueSky, or LinkedIn.

BEUC’s Consumer Corner blog covers a variety of different topics relevant for consumer policy.
